Photo Ideas

A fun thing to keep guests entertained and provide good photos from guests.

Fun Photo Booth props.

alternative to confetti

Check out these Rice Butterflies! They are the perfect alternative from tossing bird seed or petals, but they are totally made out of rice!

They won't wilt like petals can, and they are pretty! These Rice Butterflies come in a variety of colors, and are 100% biodegradable.

Here are some decorations we found at etsy.com

Guest book ideas

Guests could fill in a already set out form - maybe adding a photo to it?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I like the idea of a typewriter to go with the vintage feel... however ive heard that there are alot of negatives, ive seen one good idea tho, where u set it up like this:
And then put it next to the guestbook you are using to get them to sign, making the typewriter itself just a decoration.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bleu De Toi has come out with this fun and unique way of remembering the guests at your wedding. This guestbook fingerprint tree can become a lovely keepsake to hang on your wall instead of just some book that sits in a box in your attic.

Each woodcut print is hand printed and personalized just for you! The branches are left bare and you can choose the ink colors you want your guests to leave their thumb prints with.
These are 40-50£  but think we could make our own?? Also would need baby wipes to get the ink off! :o

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can set up a table with polaroid cameras for the guests to use with the props for a photobooth and have a book preset with places for the pictures and a space for the guests to write a little note.

Entertaining the kids

 A book like this but
using Alice in wonderland
Pictures, Words - maybe
characters and things like
that.... ^_^ A book for each
child under say 12? Or
maybe just make a random
number of them and put them
in a basket wth loads of
crayons so kids can choose
if want one :)

Little gardens in bowls

These would be nice as little gardens? :)
terrarium
Intimate weddings

DIY terrariums are such a fun and inexpensive way to decorate at your wedding reception. There are many different types of terrariums. Some use fresh moss and succulents, while others use dried moss and other botanicals. I went with the dried, no-fuss option for this tutorial.
What you will need:
  • Clear glass bowl or vase (I got mine at a second hand store for a buck)
  • dried moss
  • stones, sticks and other botanicals
  • model train figures
  • glue
  • scissors
  •

DIY glow jars

Amazing idea from Intimate Weddings
glowing jars
They take about two minutes to make and cost only 20 cents a piece. How’s that for an enticing DIY wedding project?
These would look amazing at an evening outdoor wedding. Line walkways with them, or place them on tables.
DIY Glow Jars Tutorial
For each glow jar you will need:
  • a jar
  • two Glow Sticks
  • scissors
  • rubber gloves
  • safety glasses
Disclaimer: This is a project meant to be done by an adult – not a child!
Purchase Glow Sticks(I got a pack of 15 for $1.50) and dig a jar out of your cupboard.
diy glow jars
Grab two glow sticks and cut at one end. Make sure they are inside the jar when you cut them. I used rubber gloves because I didn’t want to get the glowing liquid on my hands.

Shake each glow stick while holding inside jar until contents are empty. You will notice little pieces of what looks like plastic along with the liquid. One reader said this is actually glass, so be careful. You will dump these out later.

Head to your garbage and dump out the little pieces of plastic. Swirl liquid around the jar.

MAIN PROBLEM being they only glow for an hour, so how do u have them when its dark... hmmmm - any ideas???

Sunday 22 January 2012

Ok so its been a busy night, but  have uploaded all the ideas i have so far! and even had time to talk to my Hero :) Miss him muchos but the planning helps!
Only 3 months..... Then his home and we can go and view the Reception Venue we like! ^_^
The invitation you receive has a small round circle on the back, it's of dark blue and has white printed on it, the words of course say "Open Me" in nice readable script. Who wouldn't open such a delightful little message that's addressed to you? When you open the envelope a very fun, colorful invitation is revealed. The wedding invitation is of blues, yellows, greens and pinks, all together in gentle, whimsical pastels. By the sounds of it, you have been invited to wedding and tea, so wear your best attire with a splash of color.
